Why it is not another typing test
Most typing games ask how fast you can copy text. Type Hunters also asks you to make decisions at speed. A one-word Quick attack is safe but weak. A 40-character Ultimate does ten times the damage, and one slip can cost you your combo. So the fastest run through a wave is usually also the riskiest.

What a run looks like
- Pick a hunter. The Fighter, Rogue and Bender each have their own attack words.
- Clear three waves. Cubelings and Heavy Cubes block your way through the forest of Skyland.
- Block what comes back. When a monster strikes, type the defence words in time or get staggered while your clock keeps running.
- Beat the Block Titan. Wave four is a boss with 50 health and no patience.
- Post your time. Your run can go on the global leaderboard with your WPM and accuracy.
Three ways to play
- Standard Hunt: the pure test of speed, memory and accuracy.
- Extreme Hunt: one of four harsh rules is rolled for the whole run, like hidden vowels or an extra word on every attack.
- Race Hunt: you and three rivals race through the same waves, with a live positions board.
