How to play Type Hunters
Type an attack to use it, finish all four waves as fast as you can, and try not to get hit.

Attacking
Three attack cards sit under the battlefield. Start typing one and your letters appear on it. Correct letters turn yellow and mistakes turn red. Finish the phrase exactly and your hunter attacks.
| Attack | Length | Damage | In Rush |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quick | One word, 5 to 10 letters | 1 | 2 |
| Strong | A short phrase, 16 to 23 characters | 5 | 8 |
| Ultimate | A long phrase, 27 to 42 characters | 10 | 15 |
Longer phrases deal more damage per letter, so an Ultimate is the fastest way through a wave if you can finish it cleanly. Capital letters and punctuation count.
- Changed your mind? Once your letters fit only one card, you are locked to it. Erase everything to choose again.
- Made a mistake? Wrong letters stay in the line until you erase them with Backspace.
- Spamming Quick? After three Quick attacks in a row, the Quick card becomes a Strong one until you use it.
Blocking
Monsters fight back. An incoming attack counter warns you first, and then the block screen shows a short list of defence words. Type them before the timer runs out to block. Accurate typing earns you extra time for the next word, and later waves ask for more words.
Miss one word and you take a glancing hit. Miss two and your hunter is staggered, which locks your typing for nearly two seconds while your run clock keeps going. Some blocks also end with an optional gold counter word that deals extra damage if you type it.
Combos
Each attack builds your combo: Quick adds 1, Strong adds 2 and Ultimate adds 4. Using the same attack type over and over stops paying, so mix them up. A mistake resets your combo to zero.
Rush
The six-segment meter at the top fills as you attack. Long attacks fill it fastest, a clean attack with no mistakes fills it far more than a sloppy one, and a high combo adds up to 50% on top. Mistakes drain it a little.
When it is full, Rush turns on. Quick hits for 2, Strong for 8 and Ultimate for 15, and each attack spends meter until it runs out.
The waves
| Wave | Monsters | Total health |
|---|---|---|
| 1. The First Pack | 2 Cubelings | 12 |
| 2. The Brute Arrives | 2 Cubelings, 1 Heavy Cube | 24 |
| 3. The Hunting Pack | 2 Cubelings, 2 Heavy Cubes | 36 |
| 4. The Block Titan | The boss | 50 |
Getting a faster time
- Prefer long attacks. They deal more damage per letter and fill Rush fastest.
- Protect your accuracy. One clean run beats three rushed ones, and mistakes cost you combo and Rush.
- Save your Rush for big attacks. An Ultimate gets 5 extra damage in Rush, while a Quick gets just 1.
- Learn your words. Each hunter has a fixed list, and you can read them all.
